I didn't have anything else to do today after I voted, and I got Ben and myself dressed up and bundled up, so we went to Petco to find Rhaegar a floating log.
He digs it. Obviously. I'd like to find a way to secure it to the side of the tank so he doesn't have to work to stay inside of it.
I also picked up some root tabs and a medium-sized anubias for the 6.6. The stupid hornwort that I put in there is a messy mess. I removed it and have found tiny needles all over the tank. I have no idea how I'll get them all out and it's making me furious. Never again, hornwort. Never again.
Working now on keeping enough ammonia in the 6.6 to keep the cycling process going. Also, last night I was sure the sick loach would be dead by morning. But when I came down at 7am today, he was perky. I have to refresh myself on how long he needs to undergo this ich treatment. I also think I'm going to put the hospital filter into the 10-gallon to keep it cycled. Or maybe just the biomedia. I bought a biomedia sponge too.
